My question is, are the "severe duty" front and rear mains necessary as well, or with the center mains beef it up enough? I am asking because just the rear main is as much as the 3 interior mains and I am trying to keep the cost of this build somewhere on this planet! Engine will live in the 3-6K RPM range, with no significant track time. The front and rear severe duty caps were designed to eliminate bearing chatter that racers from Super Comp to Top Fuel were experiencing with stock caps. They work.
