I am looking for...

a company in Dickson, TN that used to build hemi engines. The name of the company is Rod and Custom Machine. If anyone can provide be with contact info. I will be grateful as I really need to talk to them. Their website now hooks up to a porn site so I am not having much luck. Thanks, JIM

I'm a retired police officer, and the best advice I can give you is to contact the Tennessee Attorney Generals Office and get them started on your case. This guy is a thief and a fraud.evil

I am looking for these guys too. I sent them my 57 Chrysler 300C to have the engine rebuilt. What was supposed to be a 3 month job took me almost three years to get my car back and they screwed up every aspect of the work order. I had another shop go back through the car and have spent a ton of money correcting their work. The engine didn't run right and we found out that they put in a heavy overlap bracket racing cam. We swapped it for a street cam and it ran much better but then developed a hard knock. My shop used a camera scope and could see that the wrist pin keepers are missing and the wrist pins are floating around. I now have to pull the engine again and have it completely rebuilt as everything is in question. Someone had attempted to port some of the ports on one of the heads. The carbs were installed wrong, the threads were styripped on the starter motor, the headers were installed wrong, the fuel pump was incorrect and it chewed the cam follower in only an hour of engine operation, the valve covers were installed poorly and leaked...and the list goes on and on. In addition, we had swapped out a lot of the original parts for modern pieces and they were supposed to come back with the car but didn't. These parts are worth at least $5K. As soon as I got the car back, the owner, Mike Goodstein, disappeared - all phone numbers have been disconnected. At this point, this ordeal will cost me $30K between what I paid Rod and Custom and the re-work I have to do to correct their terrible work. It is unbelievable to me how people can be so dishonest. My next step is to call the local sheriff and start pressing charges. At the very least, I need those original parts back.

So if you find these bastards, please contact me. My email is karl@riverbendpond.com and my cell phone is 703 861 9473. Best of luck.

Karl

My shop used a camera scope and could see that the wrist pin keepers are missing and the wrist pins are floating around. Okay there is no way a scope could view a wrist pin clip. Unless someone can explain this better to me I have to say that its not possible. If the wrist pins were floating around they would score the cylinder bores. I don't follow this.

I thought that as well.
I would presume that they were seeing the cylinder wall damage to determine that the keepers were missing.
