1 piston

is it possible to buy 1 standard bore piston for a 270 super red ram. i'm lookin to put this motor back together but not put it back in the car. i'm building a bigger motor for the car and just want to keep this motor with it if the next owner wants it.

Put an ad in the HH Swap Meet section. I am sure there are dozens of guys with good standard pistons out there. I have a 270 that I have not torn apart yet. I have a new set of .030 for it. That project is a couple years off. i got it all sealed up or I would pull one and give it to you. Some one with a good used one might send it to you for the postage. Most of these engines get bore over and get a set of higher compression pistons. No one seems to want the old stock ones. i think there are some on there right now. Look for the guys advertising 270 parts. They probably got some on the scrap pile or shelf collecting dust.

Did you ask Bob (at Hotheads) ? If he said no then you have your answer. I would expect that this would not be his responce however.

You should call some parts suppliers to find that out.

Have you tried contacting the folks at Egge? That would probably be your best bet. Link to website;
