Basicly it's a 51-54 331 car hemi. Stuff that'll work on those will work on yours. Now 1 exception is the intake/head situation. IF you heads cross over port that goes from the middle of the heads under the carb is square your in good shape. If it's tall and narrow the intake flange from a car intake won't cover it. The HH intake will, you could have the top of the port welded up, or you can send your 2 bl inake to T R Waters & he can convert it to 4 bl. Or replace the heads/intake with car heads & intake.

The ID of a car or truck block is stamped on the block just ahead of the valley cover. It will have a letter prefix like D (Dodge), S (DeSoto), C, N, W (Chrysler) or V (Dodge truck which can be a Dodge or Chrysler engine). A marine or industrial will have a data tag rivited to the rear of the block instead of the stamped number. Model number on the tag identifies the engine like Models 56 and 56A are 331 ci Chrysler Industrial, Model M45 is 331 ci Chrysler Marine. Check for one of these numbers and post it here.

Sounds like a truck engine, but..do you know if its a Chr, DeSoto, or Dodge? Any of the 3 could have plain valve covers. The Chr has a casting # on the block between the head and valley cover, passenger side rear. Hard to see with the intake on.

Also, assuming this is an early hemi, there should be a Use Code on a flat in front of the valley cover.
