I was told it was a 291c.i., but once I got it home and started scraping the sludge off the engine: ( I used The Hemi Engine Identification Page ) I found out it really is a: 1956 Desoto 330 c.i. Engine ID : S23 - I 9646 Anyway, cleaning the sludge off of the heads today; I removed the Sparks Plugs and Tubes. They were : Wizard Brand Spark Plugs L1269 Except for a little rust stain on the porcelain they look brand new. Who made Wizard Spark Plugs ? I grew up on the East Coast and do not remember Wizard Brand Plugs. They look so clean and almost new; I think I will try them in this engine when I get it rebuilt. Thanks George. Still pretty cool to find them in this condition. Guess it goes to show that leaving your engine full of sludge when you park it out in the barn is a good thing.
