Many thanks for your replies but I forgot I'm in the U.K so a email address would be really helpful .

Best34: I usually use Racer Brown Cams (410 866-7660) for regrinds. He has some killer profiles and knows what makes a hemi talk. Good luck, Bob

I just had two camshafts reground. One was a Desoto 291 and one a Desoto 341. In each case I specified to grind to 345 Adventurer specs. The 291 was done in California by a reputable hemi camshaft expert. The later done here in NZ.
No problems with either shop.
The US expert put it on their machine and ground it to spec. Then "oh by the way we had to center drill and tap the snout for a screw". Cost was ~$180 US. I had assumed this 291 cam was a 330-341-345 cam but it was a 276-291 that had had the snout cut to fit the HH cam cover. When I got the cam back the timing gear didn't fit and I eventually realized it was a small deck cam therefore not compatible with my engine. The screw up was entirely my fault however I sent the cam to an expert so I was disappointed that he never picked it up.
The NZ camshaft grinder probably never ground a Desoto cam in his life. I sent him the cam specs. He measured the cam. Two lobes needed some welding repair. The rest was a piece of cake. Cost ~$300 US.
I think the moral of the story is to get the cam specs for the cam you want and send your cam to a competent grinder who will talk to you about what you are doing.
PS- the 291 cam ground to Adventurer specs is available. Make me an offer.
