331 Crank ID

Just trying to find info on crank in my 1956 331 truck motor. It is stamped 1635827 and can’t track this number down anywhere so far. Motor has been running in my 31 A coupe for the last two summers and have it apart to fix a leaky valve. At this point it is just curiousity. Thanks

Great. Thanks for the input. Will order the book when I order my gasket set.

Leo Lundquist's book. Has just a list of crank numbers, doesn't even list the years they were made, other than a few notes on a few of them, but not yours. If you don't have it, lots of useful info on OEM part numbers & years on most of it.

My copy of Leos book shows it. It under part numbers, Not casting numbers.
Shows as 310 Poly and 331 and 354 including trucks.

well, yes, that's in mine also. Doesn't really help increase knowledge though. The long tail 331 cranks are different than the short tails. No break down on what year any of them are for.
