392 cam

Do I need any head work done on my 300d, 392 heads to run a Howards flat tappet, hydraulic cam with a .471 valve lift? I just had the heads done and set up for the stock cam, including springs.
I am assuming I will need to replace the springs???
Thanks,
Jon

Jon: Hot Heads spring no. 40062.110 @ $119.95 will fix you up on springs. You will also need positive intake seals #40080 @ $19.95. Do not put seals on the hemi exhaust. Have fun, Bob

You may have to cut down (shorten) your valve guides for retainer clearance.

You may need longer valve stems to allow for more spring travel to avoid coil bind . Howards tech number
