engine number questions

Hey there, new to the site. Bought a 55 Dodge custom royal lancer. The car is pretty roached. Was a high optioned car in it's day though. Has power brakes, power steering and power seats. Has the super red ram hemi. This is what I'm most interested in.
The numbers on the engine in front of the valley pan are VT34b-8075. Just kind of wondering if it's for sure a 270 or not. The numbers don't match anything on the list on here. It does have a 4 bbl carb also.
Thanks so much in advance for any info.

Could it be VT 34 with something else?
I don't see a VT34B anywhere in Leo's book.
Does show VT334, 336, 338, 342, 344, 346.
Kind of confusing as to just what they are as a couple of those numbers can be either a 241 or a 259 cid, with the 346 being the only 270.
I have been confused by this before. You may need to do some measuring.
And yes these are truck numbers.

Any VT code looks to be for Dodge truck on any web list.
