First time blower motor questions

Looking for some basic timing advice for a mag fired 6-71 blown 392. This is a street driven car so don't need ragged edge timing, just want a good-safe baseline to go from. I am running less than 5lbs boost.

I know it's an old post but for archive searchers, I'm running a 354 stroked to 410cui with aluminum Hot Hemi Heads. 8.5static CR with a 6-71 pushing 12lbs. I run 26.5 (utra safe so I don't blow it up again) on the street and 31 at the track with race gas. The dyno didn't show any more power after 31.

I use 10 to 12 degrees initial timing and 30 degrees total all in by 2000 RPM..

Trent: Unless a dyno tells you it likes 31 or 29 better, set it on 30 degrees total.
Thanks for using the forum, Bob
