ignition timing problems

I have just put a 671 blower on my 331 hemi in a 1954 Ford F-100. The vacuum advance hose hits the manifold so so I had to loosen the distributor to get the manifold in Place. I have two problems. 1) How can I set the timing right when the vacuum hose hits the manifold. 2) How is it possible to get anything done back there??? No room to move anything. What has everyone else done to solve this problem??

Why don't you rotate the distributor to where it clears and move the plug wires accordingly.
