241 max bore?

Back in the mid 60's my Dad took a '53 241 Red Ram(3.4375 bore) and bored it .125(1/8 inch) to 3.5625 and installed '55 Plymouth 259 pistons. It worked fine and had no valve clearance problems. I still have the engine and am wondering if it can be bored another .060 so it can take 270 pistons. Does anyone have experience on boring a 241 to a 270? Are the water jacket cores the exact same or does the 270 have a different core which yields a thicker cylinder wall? Thanks.

.125 is considered max.
