270 vs 315 pistons

My friend just got a 270 Dodge hemi. Pulled the heads and it doesn't look all that bad. I have a set of .020 over 315 9.5 to 1 forged pistons. They look like new, as the guy, who had them, built an 315 hemi engine for his street rod. Then after a few months decided to install a blower, so he went for lower compression pistons. My books say the 270 and 315 have the same bore. So will these 315 pistons work in a 270, if we bore to the correct size? We haven't torn the 270 down yet to match up the pistons for pin locations, etc., but thought someone might have gone this route and have some ideas or suggestions. Thanks for any info.

I realized the OEM numbers are different as the 270 are low compression, while the 315 are higher 9.25. Then these are after market at even higher. I'll try to get over to his garage this coming week or next to start the tear down. Then we can actually do some measuring and see what will work. I just thought someone might have already tried this.

Call the piston makers & see if the wrist pin is in the same spot, If Bob doesn't weigh in.
