Need distributor driveshaft for 341 desoto


Learned today that my engine builder will not be test running my engine as I had hoped. I had wanted him to break the cam, time and jet it. Since this now on me, I'll need to prelube the engine for it's first start. To do this, I'm looking for a driveshaft out of a distributor that I could connect to my drill. Basically, I need a dead Desoto distributor that I can gut. Not certain if I'll get notifications off the new forum so you can email me directly at einwaltert at yahoo dot com.

Using a shaft from a distributor won't work, oil pump driven off camshaft, you will have to pull oil pump shaft out of engine, then get a long piece of round bar with a slot in end to turn oil pump to prime engine oil, using a distributor shaft won't turn the oil pump shaft as its geared into camshaft.
