Steering wheel


I’m looking to replace my gauges.Thought that removing the steering wheel would allow greater access and also thinking about a new wheel. As much pressure as I can muster, I cannot get that wheel to budge. I am out of ideas on how to remove this wheel. ANY suggestions are welcome, short or burning the bit..to the ground

If you don't have a puller, then go to Auto Zone, O'Reilly's or other parts store in your area. They usually have loaner tools. You may have to put down a deposit, which they refund upon returning the tool. Good luck

Thanks for the reply Ron, but I have tried a puller,I’ve hit that column with a single jack, trying to loosen it but no go. If you could swing a double jack at the column, I would.(no room). Now I’m thinking along the line of cutting a kerf in the hub of the wheel and splitting it with a chisel. Desperate times calls for desperate measures.Any other suggestions, anyone?
