To run a .650 lift cam will require longer valves which will require corrected rocker geometry which will require aftermarket rocker assemblies. Problem solved. Seriously, Gene Adams tells me he's seen stock exhaust rockers break at .5" lift. Have fun, Bob Walker
> when is too much lift/duration for stock/converted 331/392 rockers until they break? I have gotten very conflicting stories, and would appreciate any help. I may be running my new 331 (or 354/392, if I get one found) for bracket/super comp racing in a fed. I may run up to a .650" lift cam, either solid flat tappet or roller. Just in the planning stage, and don't want to over build it, yet don't want to waste my money breaking stuff either. Thanks.
