"Steve: Many years ago, I let a machinist that I trusted talk me into exhaust seals for my hemi. The end result was a galled guide and a galled valve stem.
I'll never do that again. On our race engines we also drill a hole in the intake side of the exhaust guides close to the bottom for additional oiling.
