I'm finally getting the engine together and found that this is a problem.
291 Desoto with HH aluminum valley cover and HH aluminum 4 barrel intake.
The oil filler hole in the valley cover is covered by one of the intake runners.
I fixed the problem by milling a hole and tig welding a tube at about a 45 degree angle between the back two intake runners on the passenger side of the valley cover. I then joined a trick flow oil filler tube.
I also drilled and tapped for a pcv valve on the valley cover. Pcv valve from something like a 2003 Toyota is threaded on the valley side and has a 90 degree hose fitting. Finding the right pcv valve was about the hardest part.
