Re: Re: Oil Filter Adapters?

As an update, I connected an old time oil pressure gauge in place of the sending unit. It read 60 psi at crank-up. It remained at 60 psi when I rev'd it up. I believe the builder left the oil pump bypass in working order at 60 psi.

Now all I need is to get the sending unit and gauge to read the same. The Autometer BO182-1300 0-100 gauge is reading about 15 psi below the actual pressure on the sending unit. Adding a resistor between the sending unit and gauge makes it worse, so I either need a sending unit with less resistance or a different gauge with a smaller range. The current sending unit reads .257 ohms with no pressure on it. Has anyone inherited a similar arrangement? Thanks.
