345 camshaft


Hello,

I am rebuilding a S26A Adventurer engine and struggling on finding a camshaft, I have found this one for sale but looks to have a lot more lift than original spec of. 431,
Could I use this or would I run into problems with it running rough,

Here are figures on camshaft
Nielsen Cams : grind number 290H with .492 lift at 234 degrees duration @ .050 lift

You need to know if that cam is for hydraulic lifters or solids . It has somewhat high lift Look at Hot Heads specs to get an idea.

Need it to be reasonably user friendly as going in a standard engine with dual quads, I have a set of adjustable push rods, camshaft for sale states:

57 Desoto 341 ci Hemi reground camshaft with new hyd lifters. Condition is Remanufactured. Shipped with FedEx Ground or FedEx Home Delivery.Cam is reground by Nielsen Cams to a performance spec: grind number 290H with .492 lift at 234 degrees duration @ .050 lift

Been looking for 3 years for someone to regrind a camshaft, I have a 341 core but being in United Kingdom, no one over here can do it, and not having much luck in the states,

Spec on a standard 345 S26A camshaft been told hard to get unless using a new blank

Intake open 35 deg BTDC close 65 deg ABDC duration 280 deg lift .431

Exhaust open 65 deg BBDC close 25 deg ATDC duration 270 deg lift .413
