In the old days, racers came up with all kinds of girdles and other devices to beef up the bottom end and keep the crank where it belongs. They only wished they had access to these! Hot Heads billet steel 4-bolt main caps feature splayed side bolts for the Number 2, 3, and 4 mains to anchor the caps far better than vertical 4-bolt caps or girdles, let alone stock 2-bolt mains. The angled side bolts also distribute loads better across the bottom of the block, creating improved block stability. The Number 1 and Number 5 caps are severe duty pieces to complete the set are also available. Will require align boring when installed.
