Re: ARP head studs hit valve cover?

I built a 392 a few years back with some radical mods, one of which was rockers with .565 lift. Even with dimpled covers the rockers hit the inside of the VCs. My solution was to use 2 cork gaskets separated by a 3/8th spacer. problem solved and no problem with the head studs either. Just sayin..> My ARP studs hit the stock valve covers on my 354 hemi. Is this normal? How do I correct this? Thought about trimming bottom of stud and removing the washer under the nut. Will that be ok? Also will the Hot Heads aluminum valve covers clear them if I don't shorten them? Thanks!
